CHINESE SPY ALLEGATIONS: PAOCC CALLS FOR INQUIRY INTO FORMER MAYOR GUO’S INVOLVEMENT

The Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) has called for an investigation into allegations that former Bamban mayor Alice Guo is involved in Chinese espionage in the Philippines.

These claims emerged from a documentary presented at a House of Representatives hearing, where tycoon She Zhijiang, a self-confessed Chinese spy, implicated Guo.

PAOCC executive director Gilbert Cruz emphasized the need for verified evidence and will coordinate with local and foreign authorities to verify the allegations.

Guo denied the accusations, asserting her loyalty to the Philippines.

Cruz highlighted the need for further investigation to determine the truth, given She’s legal issues.
