A Chinese national, Li Xuanjun, was arrested by Bureau of Immigration (BI) officers at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) on January 22 for attempting to board a flight to China using a fraudulent working visa.
His name triggered a warning in the BI’s automated system, revealing that he was wanted for acquiring the visa through misrepresentation.
Further investigation confirmed that Li had obtained his visa by submitting false information, including a non-existent employer company.
As a result, his visa was canceled in 2023, and the BI declared it null and void.
Li has been placed on the immigration blacklist and will be deported, banned from re-entering the Philippines.
