The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) and National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) are tasked with verifying whether signatures on disbursement documents linked to Vice President Sara Duterte’s confidential and intelligence funds truly belong to representative-elect Chel Diokno and actress Marian Rivera.
House Assistant Majority Leader Zia Alonto Adiong said the investigation aims to clarify discrepancies, as some receipts bear the same names but different signatures.
Many acknowledgment receipts were reportedly not examined during earlier House committee investigations on the funds.
Adiong emphasized the need for forensic analysis to confirm the authenticity of the signatures and to determine if multiple persons used the same names.
He noted that while “Chel Diokno” is an uncommon name, “Marian Rivera” could refer to someone other than the well-known actress.
