CALOOCAN IMPOSES GUN BAN FOR UPCOMING BARANGAY PLEBISCITE

In preparation for a plebiscite on August 31, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) has announced a gun ban in Barangay Bagong Silang, Caloocan.

The plebiscite will decide whether Barangay Bagong Silang should be divided into six separate barangays.

 The campaign period for this vote will run from August 1 to August 29. 

The Comelec’s resolution mandates that carrying firearms and deadly weapons will be prohibited from August 1 to September 7. 

Additionally, there will be restrictions on the transfer of officials, the establishment of reaction forces, and a liquor ban from August 30 to 31.
