Meralco defeated Rain or Shine, 122-114, to secure its first win in the PBA Season 50 Governors’ Cup at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.
The Bolts overcame a six-point halftime deficit with a 41-point third-quarter surge led by Jason Brickman.
Brickman finished with 19 points, seven assists, and three steals, while Antonio Hester added 21 points and nine rebounds in his return to the PBA.
Chris Banchero and Bong Quinto also provided key contributions as Meralco pulled away in the second half.
Rain or Shine, which dropped to 0-2, was led by Aaron Fuller with 28 points and 10 rebounds.
