BEERMEN AIM FOR 31ST TITLE AS FINALS BEGIN AGAINST TNT

San Miguel Beer begins its title defense in the PBA Philippine Cup Finals on Wednesday against TNT at the Ynares Center in Antipolo, Rizal, aiming for its 31st league championship.

Led by nine-time MVP June Mar Fajardo, who averaged 14 points and 19 rebounds in the semifinals, the Beermen boast a veteran-laden roster including CJ Perez, Jericho Cruz, and Chris Ross.

TNT, seeking revenge from last season’s 4-2 Finals loss, strengthened their lineup with Jio Jalalon, Kevin Ferrer, and Tyrus Hill, though key players like Roger Pogoy remain injured.

Coach Chot Reyes acknowledged San Miguel’s depth and talent, saying a complete roster doesn’t guarantee victory but improves their chances.

With the Tropang 5G last winning the Philippine Cup in 2021, the series promises high-stakes basketball between two elite PBA squads.
