BATO CRITICIZES EXTENDED POLICE PRESENCE AT KOJC COMPOUND

Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa has questioned the necessity of the prolonged police presence at the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) compound in Davao City, where they have been searching for pastor Apollo Quiboloy, who faces arrest warrants for sexual assault and human trafficking.

Dela Rosa, after inspecting the site, argued that the extended stay is unjustifiable and disrupts the lives of students and religious practices at the compound.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) maintains that their search will continue until Quiboloy is found, despite concerns over the legality of their operations, including unauthorized digging.

Dela Rosa also criticized the police for allegedly using pepper spray on a KOJC member and called for accountability.

Davao Mayor Sebastian Duterte echoed concerns about the legality and fairness of the police actions, stressing that justice must not come at the expense of due process.
