A school in Bataan, Mariveles National High School-Poblacion, has been named a finalist in the World’s Best School Prizes 2025 under the Supporting Healthy Lives category for its Changing Lives Through Sports program.
The program has helped students overcome challenges like bullying, depression, and addiction through sports, leading many to become national champions and community role models.
The school is now eligible for the Community Choice Award, with voting open online until July 9.
Department of Education Bataan official Armando Capili urged Filipinos to support the school by casting their votes.
The World’s Best School Prizes recognize schools driving positive change globally, aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
