BARMM MINISTER PUSHES DEVELOPMENT AND POVERTY REDUCTION

BARMM Labor and Employment Minister Muslimin Sema called on regional leaders to prioritize improving the livelihoods of ordinary Bangsamoro citizens and maximize the region’s rich natural resources for inclusive development.

He stressed that the government must ensure access to the five basic needs—food, clothing, shelter, education, and health care—to prevent families from falling into poverty.

Sema also emphasized the need to expand infrastructure, including roads, communications, and energy, while strengthening education and creating more jobs and livelihood opportunities.

He said these initiatives are essential to achieving lasting peace and a better quality of life for families across the Bangsamoro region.

Sema made the remarks as the Bangsamoro Party prepares to participate in the Sept. 14, 2026 elections.
