The Commission on Elections (Comelec) is set to begin printing ballots for the upcoming Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) parliamentary elections, scheduled for October.
Comelec spokesman John Rex Laudiangco said preparations are on track, with no expected delays in the printing process.
The initial batch of 200,000 ballots will be used for automated counting machine (ACM) demonstrations across BARMM from Sept. 1 to 30.
The printing of the 2.2 million official ballots, including those for final testing and sealing, is expected to be completed within one week.
Comelec will officially launch the printing after oversight from election watchdogs, media, and political parties.
