ANTIPOLO CITY TO BUILD INTEGRATED HAVEN FOR PWDS, ELDERLY, AND CANCER PATIENTS

Advocates for persons with disabilities (PWDs) in Antipolo City are initiating the construction of a haven called “PWD Home Antipolo” to provide shelter for PWDs, cancer patients, and the elderly.

Led by Eljoy Lagan, a blind leader of an Antipolo-based cooperative for PWDs, the project aims to support those abandoned or neglected by their families.

Situated on a 500-square meter lot donated by Nancy and Angel Duque of NCD Integrated School Incorporated in Barangay San Isidro, the home will offer training and support for independent living.

Initial support from organizations like RCC Antipolo and local officials has been crucial, with ongoing appeals for additional donors to help realize this community initiative.
