Presidential Adviser on Poverty Alleviation Secretary Larry Gadon downplayed a contempt complaint filed against him by lawyer Ferdinand Topacio over his criticisms of the Supreme Court’s decision on Vice President Sara Duterte’s impeachment.
Gadon responded humorously, challenging Topacio to a karaoke contest to settle their differences.
He accused Topacio of creating noise for publicity and insisted that reason, not rhetoric, should prevail in such matters.
Topacio, however, said the issue was serious and not a laughing matter.
The Supreme Court had ruled the impeachment complaint unconstitutional for violating the one-year rule ban.
