Senator Robin Padilla has filed the “Anti-Pabebe” bill, aiming to incorporate practical life skills and environmental awareness into the education curriculum.
The bill mandates hands-on activities such as basic agriculture, cooking, sewing, carpentry, and household skills across grade levels.
Padilla said the measure seeks to address the decline of traditional life skills transfer due to changing culture and technology.
He emphasized that integrating life skills and values formation will improve youth well-being and foster responsible citizenship.
The bill, filed in late August, is now under review by the Committees on Basic Education and Finance.
