Global digital advertising firm Aleph is looking to boost football engagement in the Philippines by leveraging digital platforms and lifestyle-focused content ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026.
The company highlighted that about 39 million Filipinos are interested in football, with Gen Z and millennials making up around 80 percent of the fan base.
Data also showed that more than half of fans rely on social media and streaming platforms like YouTube for sports updates and highlights.
Aleph executives and sports media experts stressed that football stakeholders must adapt to shifting digital habits and promote the sport’s lifestyle appeal to attract more fans.
They added that the upcoming World Cup presents a key opportunity to grow local interest through accessible, multi-platform storytelling.
