President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s foreign trips have attracted investments expected to create approximately 200,000 quality jobs, according to the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
Labor Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma stated that this estimate, provided by the Department of Trade and Industry, reflects commitments made during the President’s international visits.
The process of generating these jobs is ongoing and could result in even more employment opportunities.
Recent data from the Philippine Statistics Authority indicate improvements in the country’s employment and underemployment rates.
This year, Marcos has visited countries including Brunei, Vietnam, Australia, Germany, the Czech Republic, the United States, and Singapore.
