ABALOS, PACQUIAO AND REVILLA OFFICIALLY FILE CANDIDACIES FOR SENATE

Benhur Abalos officially launched his senatorial campaign by filing his certificate of candidacy (COC) with the Commission on Elections (Comelec) and announced his resignation as interior and local government chief.

Accompanied by family members, including his father, the current mayor of Mandaluyong, Abalos remains optimistic despite lagging in surveys, citing his track record in public service.

He aims to focus on reducing electricity costs and promoting job generation and agriculture if elected.

Senator Ramon Revilla Jr. also filed his COC, seeking reelection to continue his work in the Senate, where he has enacted 399 out of nearly 2,000 filed bills.

Meanwhile, former senator Manny Pacquiao filed his COC alongside his wife, emphasizing his commitment to combating corruption in government.
