Authorities arrested six South Koreans and 15 Filipinos suspected of running an illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) hub in Pasay City. The operation, carried out by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), Bureau of Immigration, and the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC), uncovered a gaming operation targeting Korean nationals. In addition to online gaming, the group is also accused of game fixing and online scamming. The arrested individuals are facing multiple charges under Republic Act 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act), Money Laundering, and Anti-Financial Account Scamming. They are currently in PAOCC’s custody pending further investigation and charges.
