Nearly half of Filipinos (48%) believe their quality of life will improve over the next year, according to a recent Social Weather Stations survey.
This sentiment, dubbed “Net Personal Optimism,” is classified as “excellent” at +42, exceeding the previous score of +41 in June 2023. Optimism grew in Luzon and Mindanao, while decreasing slightly in Metro Manila and Visayas.
Interestingly, elementary and high school graduates saw the highest increase in optimism, while college graduates experienced a slight decrease.
The SWS survey encompassed 1,200 respondents, with 12% from Metro Manila, 45% from Balance Luzon, 19% from Visayas, and 23% from Mindanao.
