TRACK AND FIELD SHOWDOWN BEGINS: ATHLETICS HOSTILITIES COMMENCE
Today’s commencement of the ICTSI Philippine Athletics Championships heralds a gathering of the nation’s elite track and field athletes, all vying for glory and crucial qualification points for the upcoming Paris Games.
Among the prominent figures gracing the event are Olympic hopefuls John Cabang Tolentino, Lauren Hoffman, Robyn Brown, Eric Cray, and Janry Ubas, who will showcase their prowess at the PhilSports oval in Pasig over the course of the five-day competition.
Janry Ubas will inaugurate the proceedings with his participation in the men’s long jump event, scheduled to commence at 7 a.m.
Additionally, the roster boasts notable athletes such as reigning Asian champion Robyn Brown, Kristina Knott, William Morrison, Angel Frank, and Victoria Bossong, promising an electrifying showcase of talent and athleticism throughout the championship.
