Organizers of the upcoming Trillion Peso March on Nov. 30 clarified that the rally will not call for the resignation of public officials, emphasizing its focus on exposing corruption and recovering stolen public funds.
Bishop Colin Bagaforo of TPMM said the movement does not seek to overthrow elected leaders despite nationwide protests over alleged “ghost” and substandard DPWH projects.
While other groups have pushed for President Marcos’ resignation amid recent allegations, TPMM stressed it will not support destabilization efforts or calls for a military junta.
Rally organizers said they will exercise “maximum tolerance” toward individuals calling for resignations but will intervene if groups aggressively push such demands.
The mass action at the Edsa People Power Monument is expected to draw an even larger crowd than the 80,000 to 120,000 attendees recorded during TPMM’s first rally last September.
