“THE BLUE HOUR” EXPLORES LOVE, IDENTITY THROUGH PAOLO GUMABAO’S ENZO

Paolo Gumabao returns to the Boys’ Love genre in the upcoming film The Blue Hour, directed by Adolfo Alix Jr., where he plays Enzo, a basketball player navigating love, identity, and personal courage.

Gumabao said he approaches the role by focusing on his character’s emotions rather than his sexuality, believing that judging a character can lead to stereotypes.

The actor described Enzo as the more courageous partner in the story, contrasting with Rafa, played by Migs Almendras, who struggles to openly embrace their relationship.

Gumabao also shared that portraying diverse roles continues to help him grow as an actor, citing his passion for learning through different genres and collaborations.

Joining the cast are Eian Rances and James Lucero, with the film set for a theatrical release soon.
