TESDA chief Suharto Mangudadatu will resign on July 31 to prepare for the May 2025 parliamentary elections in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
He confirmed his participation in the elections but did not specify the position he seeks. Mangudadatu emphasized his and his family’s commitment to supporting President Marcos and the current administration.
Appointed TESDA chief in June 2023, Mangudadatu has previously served as governor of Sultan Kudarat and mayor of Lutayan town.
He is a member of the Bangsamoro Grand Coalition, aiming to challenge the current BARMM leadership.
