Authorities have identified the suspect behind the burglary at the Quezon City home of “It’s Showtime” host and Rocksteddy frontman Teddy Corpuz, who was robbed in the early hours of May 3.
Police said CCTV footage showed the suspect entering through a second-floor window and stealing a smart tablet, cash, and jewelry worth nearly P100,000 while the family was asleep.
The stolen tablet was later returned after it was surrendered by the suspect’s sibling to barangay officials, who coordinated with the victim’s family.
Corpuz confirmed the recovery in a social media update and expressed gratitude to local officials, though some items were not returned.
Police have filed charges against the suspect, who reportedly has prior cases, and reminded the public to strengthen home security measures, such as installing CCTV cameras.
