Malacañang has declared August 5 and September 10 as special non-working holidays in Calbayog, Western Samar, and Polomolok, South Cotabato, respectively.
Proclamation 637 allows Calbayog residents to commemorate the birth anniversary of Jose Avelino, the first Senate president after World War II.
Proclamation 638 marks the celebration of the 21st Flomlok Festival in Polomolok. Both proclamations were signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin on July 18 under the authority of President Marcos.
