President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has declared special non-working holidays in six towns across the Philippines for various local celebrations in May.
Proclamation 849 designates May 2 as a holiday in Bauan, Batangas, for the Sublian Festival, while Proclamation 850 marks May 5 as a holiday in Santiago City, Isabela, to celebrate its 31st cityhood anniversary.
May 5 will also be observed in Kapangan, Benguet, to honor the birth of the late Gov. Bado Dangwa, as declared in Proclamation 851.
Roxas, Cotabato, will observe a special holiday on May 8 for its 58th founding anniversary under Proclamation 852.
Additional holidays include May 9 in San Jose, Negros Oriental, for its charter day and May 20 in Uyugan, Batanes, for its foundation day.
