ROQUE OFFERS APOLOGY AND COOPERATION IN THE INVESTIGATION OF THE FUGITIVE FOUND ON HIS PROPERTY

Former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque has issued an apology to Chinese authorities and pledged full cooperation in bringing a fugitive, Khuon Moeurn, to justice.

Roque, a stockholder in PH2 Corporation, clarified that his company was unaware of Moeurn’s criminal status and has since ended its lease contract with the Chinese tenant, Wan Yun, who was linked to Moeurn.

Roque emphasized that PH2 Corporation had no knowledge of Moeurn’s fugitive status and reaffirmed its commitment to assist in the investigation.

He also refuted claims of lobbying for the license renewal of the Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (Pogo) Lucky South 99, stating he only sought to reschedule arrears payments for his client.

Senate testimonies clarified that while Roque did inquire about Pogo licenses, he did not exert undue pressure on the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (Pagcor) for their renewal.
