The Department of Justice has canceled the passports of former presidential spokesman Harry Roque and three co-accused linked to qualified human trafficking charges involving an alleged illegal POGO hub in Porac, Pampanga.
Also stripped of their passports were Cassandra Li Ong, Roselyn Baterna, and Dennis Cunanan.
DOJ spokesperson Polo Martinez said no Interpol red notice has been issued for Roque, noting that such action requires a court directive tied to a passport cancellation request.
Authorities urged Roque, who is seeking asylum in the Netherlands under the principle of non-refoulement, to return to the Philippines and face the charges.
Ong is reportedly currently in Japan.
