RIDON FLAGS ‘SPECIAL TREATMENT’ IN VP SARA MUGSHOT ISSUE

House prosecutor Rep. Terry Ridon criticized the Philippine National Police for allegedly giving Vice President Sara Duterte special treatment by waiving standard booking procedures, including taking a mugshot.

Ridon said all accused persons, regardless of position, should receive equal treatment under the law.

He noted that other politicians, including senators and former presidents, had undergone the standard criminal booking process.

The criticism came after Duterte became the subject of an arrest warrant issued by a Quezon City court over a grave threats case.

Rep. France Castro also called on Duterte to stop portraying herself as a victim amid the controversy.
