Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte warmly welcomed Business Permits and Licensing Officers (BPLOs) during the 8th Annual Convention of the National Association of Business Permits and Licensing Officers (NABPLO). She emphasized the importance of integrity and transparency in public service and highlighted the BPLOs’ key role in boosting local economic growth by supporting businesses and creating job opportunities. The convention was attended by NABPLO President Atty. Melanie T. Soriano-Malaya, QC BPLD Head and NABPLO Treasurer Margie Mejia, and members of the organization. Representatives from various government agencies, including the Department of Trade and Industry, Department of the Interior and Local Government, Department of Information and Communications Technology, and the Department of Economic Planning and Development, also joined the event. The gathering provided a platform for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and recognition of the BPLOs’ contributions to Quezon City’s economic development.
