Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Chairman Patrick Gregorio toured Davao, Iloilo, and Cebu to highlight the role of sports tourism in national development.
In Davao, the upcoming UP Mindanao Aquatics Center and the National Open for Sambo showcased regional training hubs and community engagement in sports.
Iloilo’s Visayas Sports Summit and the WVRAA meet in Passi City emphasized the province’s potential as a football and multisport tourism hub while preparing athletes for future national competitions.
In Cebu, Gregorio promoted water sports tournaments and international events to boost tourism and position the city as a national training and sports destination.
Across all three regions, the PSC chief underscored the integration of grassroots development, regional training centers, and sports tourism as strategic drivers for economic growth, athlete development, and global recognition.
