Actress Jennylyn Mercado missed this year’s GMA Gala to care for her son Jazz, as confirmed by her talent agency.
Fans were surprised by her absence at the event held at Manila Marriott Hotel, where her husband Dennis Trillo attended alone.
Speculation about her moving to a rival network resurfaced, but her agency clarified that her absence was due to family commitments.
Jennylyn is currently a freelancer and has yet to sign a new contract with GMA, though she expressed her desire to stay with the network.
