Aid to the Church in Need Philippines launched the “Caravan for Peace and Solidarity: Padayon Marawi” to raise funds for the restoration of the damaged Marawi Pro-Cathedral and nearby mission facilities.
The initiative calls on dioceses, schools, organizations, and the faithful to support the rebuilding efforts through prayers, solidarity, and donations.
The group said the cathedral and pastoral facilities continue to suffer from the effects of the 2017 Marawi siege led by the ISIS-linked Maute group.
Funds from the caravan will also support peace-building programs, leadership formation, and interfaith dialogue in the community.
ACN Philippines President Don Buhain said the campaign aims not only to raise funds but also to strengthen faith and unity among Filipinos.
