Philippine Olympic Committee President Abraham Tolentino expressed strong optimism about Team Philippines’ performance at the upcoming Paris Olympics, expecting them to surpass the achievements of the Tokyo Games.
Tolentino confidently predicted that the team, comprising 22 athletes, would secure more than the previous haul of one gold, two silvers, and one bronze.
He highlighted improved conditions and preparations, including a training camp in France, as key factors contributing to their readiness.
Tolentino thanked various stakeholders, including the Philippine Sports Commission and private sponsors, for their support in ensuring the athletes’ optimal training conditions and financial stability during their preparations in Metz, France.
