Filipinos are the world’s most active users of Facebook and YouTube, according to the Digital 2026 report by Meltwater and We Are Social.
About 83.3 percent of the Philippine population uses the internet, which is higher than the global average of 73.2 percent.
On average, Filipinos spend over 13 hours weekly on social media, rising to nearly 34 hours when including video content like TikTok and Reels.
Facebook remains the most popular platform, with 94.9 percent of Filipino internet users accessing it monthly, while 85 percent use YouTube, the highest global rate.
Other popular platforms include Messenger, TikTok, Instagram, and Telegram, reflecting the country’s strong digital engagement.
