The Philippines won eight awards at the 31st World Travel Awards (WTA) during the Asia & Oceania Gala Ceremony 2024, hosted for the first time in the country.
The Philippines was recognized as Asia’s Leading Dive, Beach, and Island Destination, marking a sixth consecutive win for its dive spots.
Notable locations such as Intramuros, Boracay, and Cebu also received top honors for tourism.
Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco was acknowledged for her leadership, receiving a special award for her contributions to the industry.
The country’s “Love the Philippines” campaign was named Asia’s Leading Marketing Campaign 2024.
