The Philippine government has secured a P905.26-million loan from the Export-Import Bank of Korea to fund the Laguna Lakeshore Road Network (LLRN) Project Phase 1 Stage 1.
The 7.94-kilometer road project will include a 6.81-kilometer viaduct, 1.13 kilometers of embankment, three interchanges, and 1.92 kilometers of slip roads, aimed at reducing traffic congestion and improving commuter safety.
According to DPWH Senior Undersecretary Emil K. Sadain, the project will provide a faster alternative to the South Luzon Expressway and enhance regional tourism and economic growth.
The road network is expected to benefit Metro Manila, Laguna, Rizal, Cavite, and Batangas by stimulating business opportunities.
Construction will begin in 2025, with completion projected for 2029, and will be overseen by the DPWH with guidance from Korean experts.Source: PhilNews24 | January 19, 2025
