The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation directed all YAKAP-accredited clinics to maintain sufficient stocks of 21 essential medicines under the “Yaman ng Kalusugan Program” to ensure continuous care for members.
PhilHealth acknowledged earlier complaints about shortages but assured the public that these medicines, including antibiotics, cardiovascular drugs, and asthma treatments, are now available nationwide.
Members can access the medicines at their chosen YAKAP clinic to guarantee timely treatment and uninterrupted care.
PhilHealth President Edwin Mercado emphasized adherence to service standards and the importance of providing essential drugs to all enrollees.
The program aims to strengthen primary healthcare access and support public health outcomes across the country.
