Filipino and American troops are participating in the “Salaknib” military exercise at Fort Magsaysay, Nueva Ecija, to enhance joint operational capabilities.
The exercise, which runs in two phases from March to July, includes training in communication, field artillery, medical evacuation, and logistics.
Both forces are gaining practical experience in medevac procedures and sling load operations for efficient supply and equipment movement.
Meanwhile, joint air force exercises have begun, focusing on improving operational coordination and strategic deterrence, especially amid rising tensions in the South China Sea.
The upcoming “Cope Thunder” exercise will bolster combat readiness and asymmetric warfare capabilities through April 18.
