Filipino pickleball players made a strong showing at the World Pickleball Championships Asia Grand Slam in China, winning a total of seven medals.
Team Philippines secured one gold, one silver, and five bronze medals against competitors from 20 countries.
Dino Jimenez and Davis Alano dominated the 35+ men’s doubles Open category, with Alano overcoming a recent calf injury to help clinch the gold.
Other medalists included Anna Clarice Patrimonio, Medene Ramos-Saraza, and Patricia Raymundo in various singles and doubles events.
The team also earned a bronze medal in the overall team competition, highlighting the country’s growing presence in the sport.
