PCSD APPOINTS 36 NEW WILDLIFE ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS IN PALAWAN

The Palawan Council for Sustainable Development (PCSD) has appointed 36 new Wildlife Enforcement Officers (WEOs) to enhance the protection of wildlife and natural resources in Palawan.

This move is part of the council’s ongoing efforts to strengthen environmental conservation measures in the region.

The newly designated officers will be responsible for monitoring and enforcing laws related to wildlife conservation, including illegal hunting and trade.

PCSD Chairman and Palawan Governor Victorino Dennis Socrates expressed confidence that the new WEOs would play a key role in safeguarding the province’s rich biodiversity.

The initiative is seen as crucial in the fight against environmental degradation and illegal activities harming wildlife.
