A complaint for grave threats and physical injuries has been filed against Davao City Rep. Paolo Duterte, confirmed the Department of Justice (DOJ) on Friday.
The complaint, lodged by Kristone John Patria from Davao City, relates to an incident that occurred on February 23, 2025, at a bar in Bo. Obrero, Davao City.
Patria explained that he had delayed filing the complaint for nearly three months due to Duterte’s influential family in the area.
The DOJ’s main office in Manila is handling the case, according to Prosecutor General Richard Anthony Fadullon.
Duterte’s camp has yet to issue a response to the allegations as of the latest update.
