President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is currently reviewing a report from the Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA) detailing numerous consumer complaints against PrimeWater Infrastructure Corp., owned by the Villar family.
The report, consisting of “two boxes” of complaints, was submitted to the Office of the President following an investigation into the company’s operations.
Malacañang said legal action will be taken based on the findings, ensuring due process and adherence to the law.
The probe was initiated in response to widespread public outcry over poor water service in provinces like Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Bohol, and Pangasinan.
President Marcos ordered the investigation after witnessing firsthand the lack of water and poor sanitation in public schools during a June visit to Bulacan.
