The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) and Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (PAGCOR) will distribute patient transport vehicles (PTVs) worth P141 million to local government units nationwide.
PAGCOR will hand over 70 PTVs to PCSO to improve emergency medical transport in remote and underserved areas.
Each PTV is equipped with GPS, stretchers, medical oxygen, wheelchairs, and first aid kits.
PCSO expects to deliver PTVs to 1,724 LGUs by the end of the year, with a total budget of P2.5 billion since 2022.
PAGCOR has committed to providing 246 PTVs, having already distributed 60 units to various institutions since February.
