World boxing icon and former Senator Manny Pacquiao praised the 1Pacman party list for its role in passing key laws on sports development and poverty reduction.
During a meeting in General Santos City, Pacquiao highlighted the importance of supporting the country’s top athletes, who bring honor to the nation.
He welcomed new 1Pacman nominees, including his brother Bobby Pacquiao, and commended the party for its legislative accomplishments under Rep. Mikee Romero, including the passage of the Philippine Sports Training Center Act.
Pacquiao emphasized the need for champions in Congress to continue advancing sports and public welfare initiatives.
The party list has also contributed to laws like the Universal Health Care Act and the 4Ps Act.
