Health services in the Bangsamoro region received a significant boost with the release of P217.3 million worth of ambulances, mobile clinics, and other essential medical provisions on Monday.
These were procured through the office of Regional Health Minister Kadil Monera Sinolinding Jr., funded by the 80-seat Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) parliament’s Transitional Development Impact Fund from 2022, 2023, and 2024.
Additionally, funds were allocated for medicines and allowances for barangay health workers across six provinces.
Sinolinding and BARMM Chief Minister Ahod Balawag Ebrahim handed over the equipment, including 48 land ambulances, two sea ambulances, two van-type mobile clinics, and eight special patient transport vehicles, during a ceremony in Cotabato City.
Sinolinding highlighted that the new equipment would enhance health service delivery and emergency response in the region.
