The Department of Justice (DOJ) has declared former presidential spokesman Harry Roque a fugitive from justice in a human trafficking case linked to the shuttered Lucky South 99 POGO hub, with his Philippine passport canceled and a Red Notice requested from Interpol.
Roque has been in the Netherlands and denies arrest, claiming he is seeking asylum, but the DOJ maintains he is evading prosecution, not persecution.
The DOJ also offered a P1-million reward for information leading to the capture of co-accused Cassandra Li Ong, whose movements are being monitored internationally due to passport cancellation.
Authorities stressed that all accused, including Roque and Ong, must face charges for alleged crimes such as qualified human trafficking, kidnapping, and forced labor.
Meanwhile, Philippine and foreign authorities are coordinating to enforce travel restrictions and possible deportation for the accused, ensuring accountability in the high-profile case.
