OVP’S FINANCIAL TRANSPARENCY UNDERLINED BY VP

Vice President Sara Duterte announced that her office has dispersed over P1 billion in medical assistance to nearly 23,000 Filipino families, benefiting over 119,000 individuals across the country from May 2023 to April 2024. 

Speaking at the Pasidungog Awards in Cebu City on June 29, 2024, Duterte highlighted the Office of the Vice President’s (OVP) efforts, including P150.5 million in burial aid to 30,120 families, a significant increase from the previous year’s P30.8 million for 6,175 families. 

She also underscored the OVP’s collaboration with civil society organizations, reaching 26,000 members through the “Mag Negosyo Ta ‘Day” entrepreneurship program, aiming to empower Filipinos in nation-building through livelihood opportunities. 

Additionally, Duterte emphasized the OVP’s extensive relief efforts, which included aiding over 205,000 families through 92 operations and distributing food bags and relief supplies totaling P6.1 million.
