On the opening day of voter registration for the 2025 midterm elections, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) reported that over 80,000 Filipinos signed up to participate in the electoral process.
As of February 12, a total of 88,809 individuals from various parts of the country had registered to vote in the upcoming elections.
Among them, 463 individuals enrolled through Comelec’s “Register Anywhere Program (RAP),” an initiative allowing unregistered individuals to register in malls and other accessible locations nationwide.
The voter registration period officially commenced on February 12 and will continue until September 30. Comelec aims to register at least 3 million new voters throughout this period.
