Senator Bong Go’s office, in coordination with local officials, provided short-term employment assistance to 1,018 displaced workers in Moalboal and Alegria, Cebu, under a national program aimed at supporting communities affected by economic disruptions.
Beneficiaries completed 10 days of community-based work, receiving temporary income to help sustain their families, with distribution activities held at Moalboal Seaside Park and Alegria Sports Complex.
Go emphasized the importance of job generation for vulnerable sectors, noting that many Filipinos are still struggling amid ongoing economic challenges.
He explained that the initiative not only provides immediate relief but also contributes to local recovery efforts.
The program underscores the government’s commitment to helping unemployed and underemployed citizens rebuild their livelihoods.
