NCRPO REPORTS 22.53% DROP IN METRO MANILA CRIME RATE OVER LAST 5 MONTHS

Crime rates in Metro Manila have dropped by 22.53% over the last five months, according to the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO).

From November 23, 2024, to April 23, 2025, there were 2,173 incidents of focus crimes, down from 2,805 incidents during the same period last year. 


Key reductions include a 30.77% drop in rape cases, a 26.58% decrease in physical injury cases, and a 25.15% decline in murders.

The NCRPO also reported high crime clearance and solution efficiencies, with 99.36% of cases cleared and 71.15% solved.

Additionally, the NCRPO highlighted successful anti-illegal drug and gambling campaigns, resulting in thousands of arrests and significant confiscations.
